The TTCA presents the National Individual Secondary School Tournament. The top 4 players from each school will contribute points for the overall challenge trophy. The school with the most point will be crowned National Secondary School Chess Champion 2024
Details are as follows:
Date: Saturday October 12th 2024
Venue: Preysal Secondary
Time Control: 10 min + 3 sec
Rounds: 7 Rounds
Registration Fee: $80.00 before 12th October, 2024 otherwise the fee increases to $100.00
Roll Call: 9:00 AM, players not present by 9:30 will not be paired in Round 1.
The tournament will be FIDE Rated
Registration deadline will be on Thursday 10th October at 11:59 PM
Prizes:
The top three male and female players of the competition will receive a trophy. The school, that accumulates the most points, wins a challenge trophy for their school.
The organiser holds the option to award special prizes.
Point System:
The points attained at the end of the tournament by each child in the top 4 positions for each school will be added to determine the final tally for the National Secondary School Championship.
