{"id":793,"date":"2016-05-06T02:11:03","date_gmt":"2016-05-06T02:11:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/chesstt.org\/home\/?p=793"},"modified":"2016-05-06T02:11:03","modified_gmt":"2016-05-06T02:11:03","slug":"tt-has-2-new-fms-and-1-new-wcm","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/chesstt.org\/home\/tt-has-2-new-fms-and-1-new-wcm\/","title":{"rendered":"T&#038;T Has 2 New FMs and 1 New WCM!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Twelve (12) players from Trinidad and Tobago participated in the recently concluded Sub Zonal Chess Championships in Barbados over the period April 28- May 2, 2016.<\/p>\n<p>The full contingent comprised:<\/p>\n<p><strong>FEMALE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>WCM Aditi Soondarsingh<\/strong>-National Women\u2019s Champion<\/p>\n<p><strong>WCM Gabriella Johnson<\/strong>&#8211; National Under 16 Female Champion and runner up National Junior Female Champion<\/p>\n<p><strong>Shemilah James<\/strong>-National Under 14 Female Champion and 2<sup>nd<\/sup> runner up National Junior Female Champion.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ABSOLUTE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>CM Kevin Cupid-National Champion<\/p>\n<p>CM Adrian Winter Atwell-2<sup>nd<\/sup> runner up National Champion<\/p>\n<p>FM Ryan Harper-8 time National Champion<\/p>\n<p>Other players included: FM Allan Munro, CM Dev Soondarsingh, CM Frank Sears, Andrew Bowles, Mikel Martin, Leonard Duncan.<\/p>\n<p>At the end of 9 rounds, Trinidad and Tobago can\u00a0boast of:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2 new FIDE Masters (FMs): Adrian Winter Atwell and Kevin Cupid, who tied for 4th ( 6th place and 8th place respectively on the tie break) \u00a0and ended on 6 points.
