The Trinidad & Tobago Chess Association (TTCA) is pleased to extend an invitation to the 2025 Subzonal 2.3.3 Absolute & Women\u2019s Chess Championships.

Please see below the Technical Regulations for the 2025 SUBZONE 2.3.3 Absolute & Women Chess Championships for a complete description of individual prizes. The prizes will be awarded at the official closing ceremony. All players shall receive their prizes in person.

The player who wins the championship in its category will be declared the 2025 SUBZONE 2.3.3 Absolute & Women Chess Champion in this category. The winners of each tournament will also earn the right to participate in the next FIDE World Cup! The players who win the first, second, and third places will be awarded trophies. If eligible, direct titles will be awarded as per the FIDE Handbook.
Titles and Norms shall be awarded as per Fide Regulations:

2 – For titles requiring a minimum number of games (9 games or more) – Games lost by forfeit do not count towards the minimum required number of games. Games won by forfeit count for the minimum number of games, but the player’s percentage score is calculated only using the games played (eg +4=3-1+1 forfeit win = 5.5\/8 = 69%). Scores including a Bye include that round for the minimum number of games, but the players\u2019 percentage score is calculated only using the games played (eg +3=1-4 + 1 Bye = 3.5\/8 = 44%) Only 1 game may be missed due to forfeit or bye.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Notes:
There are 2 tournaments one exclusively for Females and an Open tournament.
Prizes to local participants will be paid in TTD.
Digital Passport Photo (against a white background with full face shown is required for registration)
