The tournament will be FIDE Rated<\/strong>.

Registration will be taken online up to 22nd August, 2024 no later than 9 pm<\/strong>.

Time Control: <\/strong>90 mins plus 30-sec increment<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Default time is 30 minutes for each round<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n


Round 1 – Saturday August 24th 10:00am
Round 2 – Saturday August 24th 4:00pm
Round 3 – Sunday August 25th 10:00am
Round 4 – Sunday August 25th 4:00pm
Round 5 – Saturday August 31st 10:00am
Round 6 – Saturday August 31st 4:00pm
Round 7 – Sunday September 1st 2:00pm

The tournament will be played as a seven (7) round Swiss tournament,

Players defaulting 2 games will be withdrawn from the tournament.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Flash photography may only be taken in the first 5 minutes of each round unless specified otherwise by the Chief Arbiter. Only the players, media and arbiters shall be allowed access to the playing area unless specified otherwise by the Chief Arbiter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As long as a game is in progress, a player may talk only to an Arbiter or to his opponent as permitted by the laws of Chess<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Appeals procedure:<\/strong> Any protest against the Chief Arbiter decisions must be submitted in writing to the chair of the Appeals Committee within 15 minutes after the completion of the playing session. The protest must be lodged by the player and it has to be accompanied by a sum of $100 as a deposit from the signatory. If the appeal is refused, the deposit will be forfeited. The Appeal Committee\u2019s decisions are final. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n
