The Trinidad and Tobago Chess Association will be hosting its 2019 (FIDE Rated) National Senior Chess Tournament on Saturday 16, Sunday 17, Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 November, 2019 at the Tranquility Government Secondary School in Port of Spain.

Registration Fee is $120 per player
Prize Fund for each age-group
1st – $1000
2nd – $700
3rd – $500
The Organiser reserves the right to reduce the number of prizes if there are less than six players registered in any category. The normal FIDE rules will apply including default time, tie-breaks, etc. which will be spelt out prior to the start of the competition by the Arbiter.
The tournament would be a Swiss for two categories i.e. 50+ and 65 & Over age groups with no more than 7 rounds which can be reduced by the Arbiter depending on the number of participants. Late registration would be accepted up to 9:30 am on November 16, before Round 1 scheduled for 10 am.
The tournament will continue the following day (Sunday 17th November) with Round 2 at 10 am and Round 3 at 4 pm with a similar format the following weekend as determined by the Arbiter.
