International Women’s Day Online Rapid Tournament

TTCA in collaboration with Southern Chess Club presents the International Women’s Day Online Rapid Tournament

Details are as follows:
The tournament is open to females of Trinidad and Tobago

Date: March 6th, 2021, 3 PM (-4 GMT) (Trinidad time)
Platform: Tornelo
Registration Fee: $50.00

Registration will be taken online up to 5th March, 2021 and NOT on the day of the tournament.

1st $800 + Mrs. Lorraine Winchester-Hall  Challenge Trophy
2nd $500
3rd $300

Special prize: Trophy for best Under 14 Female.

Prizes will be distributed during the National Youth and Junior Prizegiving ceremony on March 21, 2021.

The tournament will NOT be FIDE Rated. Time allotment per player is

Time: 10 mins plus 3 secs increment
Number of rounds: 6
Players must be present before the start of Round 1 to be paired.
The players are registered by their FIDE rapid rating. In case they don’t have a Rapid rating then the FIDE Classic or Blitz rating.

Players will be required to have their videos on so that arbiters can see them. Additionally, they may be required to share their screens via a link that will be provided in Tornelo. Players are NOT allowed to use virtual backgrounds.

By registering for the tournament, all participants confirm to have read and accepted these regulations the terms and conditions of this tournament.
